Gold is making a comeback and I am not talking about jewelry. Gold is everywhere these days in home decor. From lighting to furniture and home accessories, it is cropping up all over the place. Today's gold however, is not the brassy gold of the 80's rather, it is more sophisticated finish. Either antiqued or brushed it is an elegant addition to any space. It works well in many different design styles including modern, transitional and traditional. It can be mixed with other metal finishes and pairs well with many color palettes including, blues, taupes, grays, white, black and pastels.

Move over oil rubbed bronze, brushed nickel and chrome, gold is here to stay. Afraid to try this new trend? Add it in small doses. Who knows, it could become your new favorite. It is definitely growing on me.
