What's New in Tile
I would say over the last few years that subway tiles, glass mosaics and marble have been the trends to follow in tile. Whether they are used as backsplashes, shower tiles or merely as accents these have been the predominant styles to emulate. While all three are still popular in design, new styles are starting to crop up that may just become the new "must-have" look.
Textured tiles are starting to gain in popularity. They range from fabric looks to wood grain to three dimensional tiles. The added pattern in the tile adds interest and dimension.
Mosaics are as hot as ever but, new styles in different shapes and styles are cropping up everywhere. Hexagonal shaped, penny rounds, ovals and quatrefoil are all trending right now.
Cement, otherwise known as Encaustic, tiles are making a comeback. They come in a beautiful array of styles and colors and add instant sophistication to any space.
There is a resurgence in high end style. Beautiful mosaics in amazing patterns and styles add instant glamour and a "wow" factor to any space.
