Cozy Dining Areas

With everyone's busy schedules these days, it is difficult to find time for a family meal. It is great to have that time to discuss the days events and reconnect. That is why in our house, whenever possible, we actually sit down together at the table for dinner. I admit my children's extracurricular activities can throw a wrench into this plan, especially once baseball and softball season has started!

Our house has a small eat in area in our kitchen where we have family meals. It is a simple round drop leaf table that seats four and is on the other side of our kitchen peninsula. We do have a formal dining room where we entertain and have holiday meals, but it is our small dining nook where we eat most of our meals. In honor of that tradition, I have compiled some cozy dining nooks where I wouldn't mind having our family meals.

Breakfast nook idea. I love this. But I would change the black chairs for maybe a light yellow or white . Definitely doing this in our new place.Breakfast Nooks, Breakfast Area Design, Interiors Design, Breakfast Nook Bench, Dining Nook, Breakfast Nook Decor, Banquette Nook, Dining Room Nooks, Breakfast Nook Banquette

Royally Suited..A pair of French Colonial chairs in the living room looks fit for a princess and offer the perfect spot for a tea party for playtime and for paying bills or doing homework during work time.

Breakfast Area via @Hometalk. Just like my old dining room table, sans the marble top. I love French country farmhouse furniture, just not the whole farmhouse vibe. I prefer an eclectic mix with stark modern pieces, whimsical art and the occasional French farmhouse touch. -Bec
