Outdoor Spaces

Are you using the long weekend to spruce up your outdoor space? Weeding is definitely on my agenda for the weekend. I am also hoping the weather is nice enough to break out the cushions for the lawn furniture and enjoy some quality time outside.

As is always the case, once I am outside I get to thinking about ways to spruce up my patio. If you are looking for some great ideas to kick start your outdoor living, here are some options to get you started.

Start on the ground. Spruce up your concrete slab by having it stained like the image below or covered over with another material. There are even tiles made from recycled tires that are installed directly over the concrete to give your patio a different look and feel.

Update your furniture. Whether you repaint it, add new cushions or buy a new set, doing so can transform your outdoor space.

Add color. Your outdoor space is a great way to experiment with color especially if you generally shy away from it on the inside.

Make walking barefoot more enjoyable by adding a colorful outdoor rug. It centers your seating area and adds a pop of color.

Set the mood. Adding lighting in the way of string lights, a chandelier or outdoor rated lamps to keep the party going well after dark. This one is solar powered so you don't have to worry about how to power it.

Get out and enjoy the outdoors! Small changes can give your patio and entirely new look.
