Have a Stylish 4th of July

I always look forward to the 4th of July. Parades, BBQ's, fireworks and fun are all on the menu. Tried and true hot dogs and hamburgers are great, but there are so many other great ideas out there to take your party to a whole new level. If you are looking for some great ideas for your 4th celebration, you have come to the right place.

Setting out buckets full of your favorite sodas and brews is a great way to have your guests serve themselves and let you be part of the fun. However, having a signature drink is the perfect way to make your party memorable. The layers of red, white and blue of Patriotic Punch make a festive presentation and can be made with or without alcohol. Or, try this elegant Red, White and Blue Sangria recipe.

Elevate the usual BBQ menu with these great dishes. Start off with this Red, White and Blue salsa. Serve it in a coordinating bowl to really show it off. Replace burger and dogs with these yummy steak and herb tacos. Time for dessert? What better way to cool off on a hot day but with these Vanilla Raspberry Sundaes. Don't forgot to serve them with the homemade cookie "spoons". You may want to make extra of those!

Don't forget to set the stage for your party. To make your party extra special, spray paint stars on your lawn. Show your guests where the party is, by lighting the way with these Patriotic Luminaries paired with miniature flags.

Make dining more interesting by switching out your paper plates and napkins for tin pie plates and bandanas. Displaying them in baskets keep them within easy reach and make for a stylish display. Finally, create a table scape that is simple but evokes the feeling of the day.
