What exactly is vintage when it comes to decorating? Terms like antique, retro and vintage can get confusing and make it difficult to determine which is which. Antiques are generally anything over 100 years old. Retro refers to items that bring back a certain style (think the 50's or 80's) and vintage is decorating with objects that represent the best qualities of an era but are not items less than 20 years old. Think fine wine.
