Trend Alert - Sherwin Williams 2015 Color of the Year
Back in October Benjamin Moore announced its 2015 Color of the Year, Guilford Green. Now Sherwin Williams has done the same, Coral Reef. It is a soft coral that can bring a smile to your face and add some much needed zing. Get inspiration from these great spaces.
Pair it with white. White really makes the soft coral soothing and calm. Perfect for a bedroom where you want color but nothing overwhelming.

Use it with aqua. Coral and aqua are one of my favorite color pairings. It is so lively, but chic too, and works well in traditional or modern design.
Traditional Home |
Use it with gray. These two colors create an elegant vibe when used together. The coral adds some interest to the neutral gray and gives it some zing.

Another of my favorite pairings is coral and navy. Like aqua, the two play well together as they are complimentary colors.
Coral paired with black makes a bold and sophisticated statement. Used with large doses of white, both the black and coral shine.
Beige pairs well with almost any color, and coral is no exception. The two work well to create warm and inviting spaces like this.
Classic Canadian |
Yellow is a natural pairing for another sunny color like coral. Together they create energetic spaces and flood the room with light.
The Glam Pad |
Add coral patterned wallpaper or rug to an entryway or powder room for a space that "wows." It would also look great as a feature wall in a dining room.
Decor Pad |
No matter how you use Sherwin Williams 2015 Color of the Year, Coral Reef, you are sure to make a statement. This chameleon like color pairs beautifully with so many colors you won't have any problem finding a way to incorporate it into your home.
Happy decorating!
