New uses for Pendant Lights

When most of us think of pendant lights, kitchens come to mind. Hanging them over an island in a kitchen is the most likely place you will find them. However, there is growing trend to use them in other parts of your home as well.

Stumped on where else to use these versatile lights? Try some of these great ideas on for size.

In a bedroom. Replace your bedside lamps with hanging pendants. In addition to freeing up space for your favorite book, it also lends a serious sense of style to the space. Hang them so that the shade falls where your bedside table lamp shade would fall.

In a bathroom.  Take your bathroom to the next level by swapping out traditional vanity lighting with pendants.  Whether hung in front of a mirror, or between them, they will provide instant glamour to any space.

Over the dining table. Who says you have to have a chandelier over the dining room table? Try several pendants instead for a unique look.

In the foyer. Make room for mail, keys and other items in the entryway by hanging pendants over a console table. Hanging them in multiples has an even better effect.

In the living room. Replace a table lamp with a pendant light. Or to really make a statement, hang one, or more, above a coffee table. Or, add them to a corner of a room to make a focal point.
